Daily Success 2/21/2013 – I really thought I was in okay shape.

14-Cory-X-X2-OOO

Like many people, I really thought I was in okay shape. I ate what I wanted, even a pint of ice cream right before bed. I used to go to the gym a few times a week many years back, and somehow thought that this would carry me through.

I realized how wrong I was when my wife took some pictures of me without my shirt on when I wasn’t paying attention. I was shocked, and frankly, embarrassed at how bad I had gotten. I thought, okay, maybe I’m up around 180, but when the scale said 205 and a body fat check showed over 25%, I knew it was time for a change.

I started slow, cutting our soda and booze and phasing out junk food, but when a friend told me about P90X, that was it. I stopped and started several times, but once I found the teambeachbody website and started connecting with other Beachbody friends on Facebook, that was it. I was hooked.

My first 90 days of P90X, I lost 45 lbs. and cut down to about 10% body fat. After that, I did the P90X One on One series to add some bulk. (I loved Tony’s humor and his style was perfect for me.) Then I did P90X2 —twice—and was down to 170 lbs. and 4.5% body fat!!!

And you know what? I went from being able to do zero unassisted pull-ups to a max set of 27!

Daily Success 2/19/2013 – I was a coffee and sugar junkie

12-Rusty-X2-X-InSan-Asy

I was at the lowest point in my life. At 47, I was depressed, sick all the time with colds, bronchitis and vertigo from stress. I was a coffee and sugar junkie. I couldn’t bear to see myself without clothes. And I was fed up with my own BS and excuses for the sad shape I found myself in.

When my doctor prescribed anti-depressants that just made me more dizzy and stressed (if you can believe that), a martial arts friend of mine suggested I try this crazy program called P90X. I told myself it was time to try nature’s anti-depressant—endorphins.

Guess what? It worked! P90X fit me like a glove. I was addicted to Tony and his sense of humor. The mix of strength, cardio, and flexibility kept it fun. But what I liked most was that I didn’t have to think about what I was doing each day. I just had to get out of bed and Push Play!

After P90X, I did Insanity and Insanity, The Asylum. I became a Beachbody Coach to “pay it back” for the results I got. And then I tackled P90X2, which took me places I never knew about. The core strength and balance work were mind-blowing. Can you believe it? I could do levers and 4-ball pushups!!!

I am a new man inside and out. I have a new career as a Beachbody Coach that will retire me from my day job and give me the PERFECT vehicle to change other people’s lives in the most profound way.

I WILL NEVER go back to the person that I had become, EVER! I will forever be a Beachbody junkie living a life of passion for health and fitness and helping others do the same. After what happened to me, I owe that to Tony and Beachbody, my Coach and everybody in my Challenge Group who kept me on track!

Daily Success 2/18/2013 – I was literally eating myself into an early grave.

11-Melissa-P90X-Shakeology-TurboJam-TurboFire

Every New Year’s, I would say my New Year’s Resolution was to lose weight. But I never followed through—until this past year. I was a new mother. I was totally overweight. I had no energy, no confidence, and no self-esteem. I had headaches every day. So what would I do? Turn to food.

I was literally eating myself into an early grave. Until I made my New Year’s Resolution last year and followed it by starting P90X. I loved that P90X is a routine, sets a schedule so you have something daily to look forward to. It changes daily and it’s fun. Also, the meal plan and recipes kept my eating on track.

And when I started adding Shakeology, I gained a ton of energy, could sleep better, and felt like I could focus better. Don’t get me wrong, there were tons of days when I felt like giving up, but being in a Challenge Group helped me keep up—those people were there to support me, give me courage and inspiration.

And this time it worked. Thanks to P90X and Shakeology as well as TurboJam and TurboFire, I kept my Resolution. I lost well over 100 lbs. I have more energy, more confidence, I haven’t used pills for my headaches, my body doesn’t hurt anymore, my blood pressure and cholesterol are the best they’ve ever been— and I can run and play with my son without pain!

Daily Success 2/12/2013 – This may sound stupid, but P90X saved me.

5-Jesse-P90X

Although I was always heavily involved in sports growing up, my weight was never under control. By the time I reached high school, I weighed 240 lbs., and because of my weight struggles, I was extremely unhappy with myself, mentally and physically.

It got so bad, I was diagnosed with clinical depression, a condition I “treated” with drugs such as cocaine, cough syrup, marijuana, and alcohol. I was so out of control I had to take a medical leave of absence from college because I was mentally unstable and a danger to myself.

When I almost died from abusing cough syrup, I hit bottom and knew I had to change. I needed a natural way to build the strength I lacked. This may sound stupid, but P90X saved me. The fact that P90X had a fit guide, a nutrition guide, and 12 workouts blew my mind. At first, it was tough. I had to modify, modify, modify everything. But Tony is such a great motivator. I stuck with it and I came out looking more ripped than I ever imagined.

Even better, I came out a better me. I am so much happier and healthier. I eat healthy, engage in healthy activities, stay away from things that will drag me down. I want to give a big THANK YOU to my Coach., for being there for me and helping every step of the way. And because of how far I have come and how many obstacles I have faced and overcome because of Beachbody.

Daily Success 2/11/2013 – I put everything into running my store and just let myself go

4-Monique-P90X-Shakeology

I put everything into running my store and just let myself go. I knew I was gaining weight, but told myself I didn’t have the time to do anything about it. So I was “muffin-topping” around town, squeezing into jeans, “sausaging” into shirts that didn’t fit, and just basically miserable.

After my husband and I went to Vegas, I wanted to share all the pictures we took—but when I looked at them, I was shocked. I couldn’t believe how much weight I had gained. When a friend joked about which one of us could lose the most weight, I Googled “Lose weight in 90 days”…and a YouTube video of Beachbody came up.

I said, ‘if she can lose that much weight, I can, too’ and picked P90X . That was the best thing I’ve ever done. I joined a Challenge Group, started logging my workouts every day to stay accountable, and got on Shakeology.

It was hard, but I kept at it. I had to. I was being accountable. The additional support I got kept me on track. And suddenly, I was amazed with myself. I’ve lost 23 lbs. and 32 inches. My “mom hips” disappeared and now that I drink Shakeology daily for breakfast, I have the energy I never had before to actually get things done.

Daily Success 2/2/2013 – At 30 I had never been more unhealthy or miserable

26-David-P90X

My dream was to be in the best shape of my life by the time I turned 30. But when that day arrived, I had never been more unhealthy or miserable. I was overweight, popped high blood pressure pills daily, and my cholesterol was out of control. I was a junk food junkie, never ate a home cooked meal, drank way too many beers every night, and was exhausted due to my sleep apnea. And it was only a matter of time before I became a diabetic—just like my father—who died at 50 from a heart attack.

It would have been easy to blame my poor health on my DNA because all the men in my family died somewhere between their late 30’s and early 50’s due to health related issues. But the reality was, we all did it to ourselves. And I didn’t want to accept their fate as my own. I wanted to live a long, healthy life, full of good memories and exciting adventures—so when a P90X® infomercial came on TV one night, I didn’t even think twice before picking up the phone.

My goal with P90X was to get lean and toned while building up my endurance so I could do a half marathon, as well as run competitively in local 5K races. And after 90 days of pushing play, my life completely changed. I can now do 25 pull-ups without stopping, run 10+ miles several times a week, and finally have that six-pack I’ve always wanted. My cholesterol had dropped significantly and I’m finally off those high blood pressure meds. I cook healthy, low-cal meals every single day, have tons of energy, and have never felt or looked better.

When people see the new me, they’re in complete awe over my weight loss and want to know my “secret”. While P90X might have been my “secret weapon”, there’s no real secret to losing weight and getting in shape. It’s as simple as eating right and working out—every single day. And I’m proud to say, my transformation has inspired tons of friends, family, and co-workers to make better lifestyle and health decisions.

I’m so excited for the future and what’s coming next. I absolutely love who I am now and never want to be that person I was a few months ago. Now I know, I can accomplish ANYTHING I want when I put my mind to it. Thanks Beachbody.

Daily Success 2/1/2013 – I asked my husband if I could have liposuction

25-Paula-P90X-Shakeology

I finally came to the point where I asked my husband if I could have liposuction because I was feeling so disgusted with myself. I was absolutely miserable. I hated to go clothes shopping because I could never find anything in my size. I had no energy. I was depressed. And I was getting bigger every day.

Luckily, my husband ran across an old friend (who is now my BB Coach) who was always posting on Facebook about how much weight she was losing with P90X and Shakeology.

My husband didn’t want me to get liposuction, so he proposed that we get the program and the shake. At first, my greatest challenge was just keeping up. Just doing the warm-up left me gasping for air. But thanks to my husband, and my Coach, I kept with it.

When I started seeing the pounds melt away, I knew I could do this, so I just continued to Press Play. I went from pausing during the warm-up to getting through the entire workout without stopping!!!

I lost 65 pounds and built muscle, which I never had. I went from never being into fitness to now owning almost every Beachbody workout. I work out every day. I eat healthy. I do Mud Runs. And I can play all-out with my kids. My life has changed so much for the better and now I’m paying it forward by helping others become healthy and fit.

When I started, I was hoping that one day my kids would look at me and be proud. P90X made that happen!

Daily Success 1/30/2013 – one day I looked in the mirror and didn’t even recognize myself

23-Stephanie-P90X-Shakeology

I’ve always been the tall, thin girl, who never had to exercise, or give much thought to what I ate. But then one day I looked in the mirror and didn’t even recognize myself. I had packed on 10 pounds, was bloated beyond belief, and looked exhausted. I felt horrible inside and out, and my confidence was totally shot.

I didn’t know what to do to reverse what I had done until a friend reminded me that I had purchased P90X a few years back, and suggested I give it a try. I’ve always been impressed by the results other people got—so I dug it out, dusted it off, and found my Team Beachbody Coach, Jamie Len Cumbo. I’m so incredibly thankful I did, because Jamie and my Challenge Group helped me turn my life around in just three short months.

It’s really tough going from NEVER working out and eating junk for 21 years, to pushing play EVERY SINGLE DAY and eating healthy! So if it weren’t for Jamie and my Challenge Group, I would have thrown in the towel and quit very early on. The only reason I succeeded was because of the accountability and the inspirational aspect of the group. We’d share tips, recipes, and motivational quotes on a daily basis, which was key to keeping everyone on track.

I’ve never been a major sweets person, but have always been addicted to bad carbs, like breads and pastas. But within the first week of drinking Shakeology, my cravings disappeared, my digestion improved, and my energy level shot up significantly. Looking back, I wish I started drinking url=http://www.teambeachbody.com/nutrition-shake/shakeology]Shakeology[/url] on day one, but unfortunately, I didn’t take my first sip until the last month ofP90X. Now I can’t image living without it.

I ended up losing 9 pounds with P90X and Shakeology, and I’m down to my “normal” weight. I went from having 20% body fat to only 14%, and I’ve toned up completely. The body parts I’m most proud of after P90X are my abs. I’ve always been skinny, but I’ve never had abs. Now I do and it feels great! I’ve also regained my confidence and absolutely love life again.

I had such a successful experience that I’m now a Beachbody Coach, on a mission to help others regain their health, bodies, and lives. If I could do it, anyone can.

Daily Success 1/29/2013 – I got into the habit of eating anything and everything

22-Kyle-Shakeology-Insanity-P90X-Asylum

In high school I played offensive line and was expected to be as big as possible, so I got into the habit of eating anything and everything in sight. When my weight crept up to 250 lbs. during my freshman year of college, I felt absolutely awful, but had no idea how to downsize. Then a sports injury cut my athletic dreams, and college days, short. So I moved home to become a firefighter—just like my dad.

But before my First Responder days could begin, I knew I had to lose a ton of weight. I mean, how was I supposed to pull someone out of a burning building when I was too out of shape to get to them in time? With that realization, I vowed to lose weight, get in shape, and not let my poor physical condition be the reason someone didn’t make it out of a fire alive.

I had seen several Beachbody® infomercials on TV and they all promised great things, so I gave a few a try. First I did INSANITY®. Figured I needed something pretty insane to start peeling off those pounds. Then I moved on to P90X®, and just recently completed INSANITY: THE ASYLUM® Vol. 1. I also drank Shakeology®, which gave me a ton of energy and helped me slim down.

Between those three incredible workout programs, Shakeology, and completely revamping my diet, I lost 50 pounds, went from a 40” waist down to 31”, and shredded 20% of my body fat. Now I have as little body fat as an elite athlete, sporting an amazingly low 6%. I can see muscles that I didn’t even know I had. Finally have abs. And am smaller now that I was in 6th grade! Old friends don’t even recognize me anymore because I’ve lost so much weight. And just recently, I visited an aunt whom I hadn’t seen in awhile and she had no idea who I was. WOW. Talk about change.

Now I’m a fit and healthy firefighter. I haven’t had to rescue anyone from a burning building yet, but when that day comes, I know I’m now physically capable of doing it. And there’s no better feeling than that! I’m a completely different person now, and boy does it feel great.

Daily Success 1/26/2013 – At the ripe young age of 40, I was killing myself with destructive habits.

19-Tezra-P90X-CE-Pump

At the ripe young age of 40, I was killing myself with destructive habits. My life consisted of working, eating, going to happy hour, eating more, drinking more, watching TV, eating even more, going to sleep—then repeat. And even though I tried losing weight with Weight Watchers and Herbalife, the results never stuck. Eventually, I couldn’t stand to look at myself in the mirror because I was so disgusted with who I’d become. So when my doctor told me that if I didn’t change I wouldn’t see my 45th birthday—sadly, I hoped she was right.

Deep down inside I knew that there had to be more to life. So I asked God to forgive me for abusing my body and prayed for help. When I say, “Thank God for Beachbody®!” I mean it literally. I prayed, He answered. And He put not one, but THREE Beachbody programs, and Shakeology®, into my life.

First I did P90X®. My goal was to get strong enough to do a pull-up and REAL push-ups (not the “girl” kind). P90X was tough, but apparently, so was I. Then I moved on to Chalean Extreme® because I wanted to continue toning up while sculpting killer arms (which I did). My 3rd program was LES MILLS PUMP® which pumped up my flat-as-a-pancake calves and lifted my butt. When I started drinking Shakeology, my blood pressure and weight started to drop, and my hair and nails began growing like wildfire.

But even though I eventually had great success, the first 7 months were incredibly tough. I was only losing about 2 lbs. per month and was frustrated at how slowly my body was responding. Almost daily I wanted to call it quits, but right when I was about to walk away, Tony, Chalene, or Shaun T. would say something that kept me going. And then there was my wonderful Facebook group who encouraged me daily to push harder and not give up before “the miracle happens”.

It took a full year, but “the miracle” did happen. I dropped 5 clothing sizes and lost 50 pounds. I’m off my high-blood pressure meds and anti-depressants. And I finally love my body, and myself. Now I’m paying it forward as a Beachbody Coach, helping others achieve success.
